Paying in RMB: how it works

Why we invoice in yuan, and what that means for buyers in Russia, Iran and Africa.

We price and invoice in Chinese yuan because that is the currency we pay our suppliers in. Buyers in countries that settle trade in RMB avoid a second conversion and the banks that refuse the transfer.

The proforma invoice fixes the currency, the amount and the bank details. Reference prices on this site in dollars or roubles are marked ≈ and are only there to help you compare; they are not contract prices.

Russian buyers can pay in roubles by bank transfer; the rouble amount is fixed on the invoice on the day it is issued. Buyers elsewhere pay in RMB by bank transfer. Bank details are never published on this site.
